There is nothing better than having a new baby.
Something sacred happened in our house when she was born, and it has made time slow down.
There doesn’t seem to be anything more important to do than– love– her.
She is beginning to grow into her name. It always feels so strange to give something so–earthy– as a name to someone– so fresh– from heaven. I’m afraid that this week she has been called by her womb
name “Baby Sam” more than anything else. We are slowly transitioning
over to “Tabitha”, just as she is slowly coming down into it.
Someday soon I will have to face reality again, but for right now I am enjoying our babymoon and living– somewhere– between heaven and earth.
Heather, she is beautiful. Everything about this is just divine. 🙂
Yay. 🙂
Hi, my name is Jentry and I've been stalking your blog for awhile. It was recommended to me by my buddy Ashley Daily who I think you went to school with. Here is your "the internet is a small place" story for the day. Your mother in law's sister is Ruth, who is married to my uncle Allen. I also grew up quite close to the Farrells and your husband's younger brother was friends with my brother Jordan. I didn't make all the connections until you posted a picture of your husband in your last post. I love reading your blog, and congratulations on your new baby!
How funny! I bet that was a surprise for you to see Jon! I am glad we can connect through blogs.
Beautiful!
Oh yes, savor it. I miss our babymoon already. She is truly heavenly. I can't wait to meet her.
Congratulations! We just had our fourth boy two weeks ago, and we are in the same stage of just sitting around enjoying baby. I keep smelling his head and brushing his hair and holding his hands. It's wonderful how tiny and sweet they are.
Oh congrats to you too! I love that new baby head smell too 🙂
Congratulations Heather! She is beautiful!
I love that term – babymoon. She is beautiful.
Congrats!
Your pictures are lovely and so is your family 🙂
All the photos are beautiful, but I'm especially fond of the ones of Tabitha with her grandma!
Congratulations!
Makes me wish I had a fuzzy head to snuggle under my chin. 🙂
I love the name "Tabitha"…
Oh, I just LOVE those first few weeks of just sitting and holding the newborn. It's the only time I can make myself just sit and enjoy the baby and ignore everything else.
If your Tabitha ends up like ours she'll often be called Tabby. ( : It's kinda cute.
She already has been in called Tabby and Tabby cat. I have a habit of shortening everyone's name! But I sure think it is a cute nickname. Though my dad warned me she might be called flabby tabby… She is kind of chunky right now 🙂
